Flowers, Trees & Gardens

Over the years we've found some extraordinary flowers, trees and gardens. We've visited the Cinder Gardens in Craters of the Moon, Idaho, the Quilt Gardens in Elkhart County, Indiana, the Glacier Gardens and Tonga Rain Forest in Alaska, and the majestic Redwoods and Sequoia Forests in California. The beautiful magnolia's and delicate (but deadly) oleander have found they way to our photo album. The gardens of the ocean side homes in Edmonds, Washington are like none we have ever seen. A symbol of the peaceful relationship between Canada and the United States is found at the International Peace Garden.

Then there are natures own creations - the happy daisies in ditches and sunflowers in the wild, We have found the Beargrass that is native to Montana and grows mostly in the Glacier National Park area. The stately saguaro and other cactus gardens of the southwest are simply stunning.

Doreen calls the flowers that grow out of cracks in rocks defying logic and surviving extreme hardships "God's Rock Gardens".

Whether the flowers are growing in man made gardens or in the wild, each presents their own unique display and we have captured many. They are all so very beautiful and very much worth remembering.
